Meet Loran Wallace, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist & Consultant, Trauma & Attachment Therapist
Ready to feel grounded, secure, and finally at home in yourself?
Maybe it shows up in your relationships, always falling back into the same cycle. Maybe it’s the anxiety that never fully turns off, or a bad habit you’ve tried to white-knuckle your way out of more times than you can count. Maybe something happened recently that cracked early childhood wounds back open, and you’re realizing you’re not as “over it” like you originally thought you were.
You’ve tried working on yourself. You’ve become more familiar with your patterns, you have an idea of where they come from, but you still feel stuck.
You don’t need more self-help books and skills. You need the gap between knowing and changing to actually close.
Therapy with me is direct, warm, and collaborative - and yes, occasionally a little humorous, because healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time.
When working with clients, we are riding two tracks at the same time. The first is the day-to-day track that will help you function better your current life and relationships. This might look like building better coping skills, setting boundaries, learning how to communicate during conflict, or just getting through a hard week with a little more steadiness.
The second is the trauma track. I believe everything we do makes sense somehow, even the things we may not like. So alongside the day-to-day work, we go back to the original template: where these patterns started, and what they were protecting you from. This is usually where more structured approaches like EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, or Post Induction Therapy come in. This work is often very focused and intentional to actually create change.
I think of us as co-pilots. I bring the training, clinical expertise, and the ability to help you conceptualize what’s going on underneath the surface - but you are the expert on you, and your insight is invaluable to the process. I’ll always show up honest with you, even when that means gently challenging something. Part of my job is making sure you understand the “why” behind what we’re doing, so you’re never just along for the ride. You’re making informed decisions about your own healing every step of the way.
This is your therapy. I’m just here to help you carry out the healing you’ve always been capable of.
Am I the right therapist for you?

A lot of therapy stops at insight and validation, and while both are important, I don’t think they’re enough on their own. My job is to help you feel understood.
I use approaches that go deeper than talking about your problems. EMDR, Post Induction Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Parts Work and Inner Child Work are all designed to get underneath the surface, addressing the root of what’s keeping you stuck.
I do my best to curate a very specific, tailored, and collaborative treatment plan because no two people are the same. Your treatment plan will be created based on your unique history, your goals, and what is actually keeping you stuck. We will talk about goal setting together at the start of treatment, check in on them regularly, and adjust how we are working when needed.
Through our work together we will create stronger, healthier relationships, improve identity and self-worth, and finally close the gap between knowing your patterns and actually breaking them.

Sessions with me are warm and collaborative. I do my best to keep the therapeutic space human and relational, always welcoming a little humor… because therapy doesn’t have to be painful and serious all the time.
I’m an active participant in our work together, not just a sounding board. I’ll help you understand what’s happening underneath your patterns and why. I think you deserve to know, because insight that makes sense to you is insight you can actually use in deeper processing work.
I’ll also challenge you when it’s needed, in a way that always feels supportive of cause. I find that honesty, direct communication, and gentle challenging are things clients tell me they appreciate most about our work together.
My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling like something actually happened. Not like you just talked for 50 minutes, but like something shifted, even if the shift was small. It’s important to me that we are always on track to meet your goals and the space feels like it’s helping you move forward.

My husband and I have two cats, Siggy and Toula, and a dog named Watson. All three have more personality and sass than you could ever imagine. Outside of work I enjoy watching horror movies, listening to true crime podcasts, and working on whatever current crochet project I have going.
I also love board games, video games and reading. My favorite genres lean toward thrillers and self-help, though I do end up reading a bit of everything. I always love to hear what books my clients are enjoying!
And because we live in a beautiful state with so much to offer outdoors I also enjoy hiking, rock climbing, slack lining, and enjoying Mother Nature.
If you think therapy with me can help you
This work is worth it, and I’d be honored to do it with you.
